DDR Fahnemasten_Ost-Berlin_Map
Christof Zwiener suchte über mehrere Jahre detailliert den öffentlichen Raum Ost-Berlins nach Spuren der DDR ab.
Die Hauptstadt der DDR überließ der Nachwelt nach der deutsch-deutschen Wiedervereinigung nicht nur eine Vielzahl
von Ministerien und Behörden, sondern auch ein achtenswertes und besonderes architektonisches und städtebauliches
Erbe. Vieles ist seit dem Fall der Mauer in einem unaufhaltsamen Nachwendetransformationsprozess verschwunden und
zerstört worden. Zwiener weist uns mit seinen Beobachtungen in der Publikation nach 1990 - Fokus Fahnenmast auf
eine spezielle Hinterlassenschaft der DDR hin, die dem Transformationsprozess erfolgreich getrotzt zu haben scheint
und auch sonst ein höchst diskretes Auftreten an den Tag legt. Auf über 300 Fotos bringt uns der Künstler diese aus dem
visuellen und kulturellen Bewusstsein gerückten Überreste nahe und zeigt uns dabei Plätze, Architekturen und
Situationen rund um die ehemaligen DDR Fahnenmasten in ganz Ost-Berlin.

DDR Fahnemasten_Ost-Berlin_Map
Christof Zwiener suchte über mehrere Jahre detailliert den öffentlichen Raum Ost-Berlins nach Spuren der DDR ab.
Die Hauptstadt der DDR überließ der Nachwelt nach der deutsch-deutschen Wiedervereinigung nicht nur eine Vielzahl
von Ministerien und Behörden, sondern auch ein achtenswertes und besonderes architektonisches und städtebauliches
Erbe. Vieles ist seit dem Fall der Mauer in einem unaufhaltsamen Nachwendetransformationsprozess verschwunden und
zerstört worden. Zwiener weist uns mit seinen Beobachtungen in der Publikation nach 1990 - Fokus Fahnenmast auf
eine spezielle Hinterlassenschaft der DDR hin, die dem Transformationsprozess erfolgreich getrotzt zu haben scheint
und auch sonst ein höchst diskretes Auftreten an den Tag legt. Auf über 300 Fotos bringt uns der Künstler diese aus dem
visuellen und kulturellen Bewusstsein gerückten Überreste nahe und zeigt uns dabei Plätze, Architekturen und
Situationen rund um die ehemaligen DDR Fahnenmasten in ganz Ost-Berlin.

DDR Fahnemasten_Ost-Berlin_Map
Christof Zwiener suchte über mehrere Jahre detailliert den öffentlichen Raum Ost-Berlins nach Spuren der DDR ab.
Die Hauptstadt der DDR überließ der Nachwelt nach der deutsch-deutschen Wiedervereinigung nicht nur eine Vielzahl
von Ministerien und Behörden, sondern auch ein achtenswertes und besonderes architektonisches und städtebauliches
Erbe. Vieles ist seit dem Fall der Mauer in einem unaufhaltsamen Nachwendetransformationsprozess verschwunden und
zerstört worden. Zwiener weist uns mit seinen Beobachtungen in der Publikation nach 1990 - Fokus Fahnenmast auf
eine spezielle Hinterlassenschaft der DDR hin, die dem Transformationsprozess erfolgreich getrotzt zu haben scheint
und auch sonst ein höchst diskretes Auftreten an den Tag legt. Auf über 300 Fotos bringt uns der Künstler diese aus dem
visuellen und kulturellen Bewusstsein gerückten Überreste nahe und zeigt uns dabei Plätze, Architekturen und
Situationen rund um die ehemaligen DDR Fahnenmasten in ganz Ost-Berlin.
