E-Scooter als Kunstobjekt: Polizei beendet Aktion vorzeitig
Künstlergruppe Poison Idea sammelte für eine Installation 100 Elektroroller ein. Geplante Ausstellung wird es aber nicht geben.
Hamburg. Für die einen sind sie ein Segen neuer Mobilität, für die anderen ein wachsendes Ärgernis und ein Gefahrenherd.
Einen künstlerischen Beitrag zur aktuellen Diskussion um die stark polarisierenden Elektroroller im Stadtbild hatte die Künstlergruppe Poison Idea eigentlich für Freitagabend geplant. Unter dem Titel „Hacking the City 2.0“ sammelten der Hamburger Baldur Burwitz und der Berliner Christof Zwiener den ganzen Freitag über wild geparkte und falsch abgestellte E-Scooter im Stadtraum ein, um sie zu einer temporären Installation in der Galerie Bridget Stern im Künstlerhaus Faktor an der Sternschanze anzuordnen. Es kam jedoch anders.
Noch vor der geplanten Ausstellungseröffnung, als die Installation mit 100 E-Scootern diverser Anbieter gerade fertig aufgebaut war, kam ein Mitarbeiter der Firma Tier den Rollern auf die Spur und rief die Polizei. Die nahm den Sachverhalt zunächst auf. Die Geräte wurden aus der Galerie entfernt und wieder dem urbanen Stadtraum zugeführt.
Aktion wurde auf Video festgehalten
Für die Künstlergruppe ist die geplante humorvolle und provokante Aktion damit aber keineswegs gescheitert. „Wir wollten Ordnung schaffen und die Farben des urbanen Regenbogens einfangen“, erklärt Christof Zwiener. „Natürlich stellen wir auch die Sinnhaftigkeit von E-Scootern zur Diskussion und fragen danach, wem eigentlich die Stadt gehört?“ Auch dem Galeristen geht es nicht um eine Verteufelung oder darum, einen Aufreger zu produzieren. „Da ist ganz viel nicht geregelt. Die E-Scooter sind ja eigentlich herrenlos und fliegen anarchisch in der Stadt herum“, so Galeriebetreiber und Kurator Mark Matthes.
In dem Ausstellungsraum, in dem am Eröffnungsabend ein – gemietetes – Fahrzeug verblieb, kann am Wochenende die Dokumentation der Aktion auf Video verfolgt werden.

E-Scooter als Kunstobjekt: Polizei beendet Aktion vorzeitig
Künstlergruppe Poison Idea sammelte für eine Installation 100 Elektroroller ein. Geplante Ausstellung wird es aber nicht geben.
Hamburg. Für die einen sind sie ein Segen neuer Mobilität, für die anderen ein wachsendes Ärgernis und ein Gefahrenherd.
Einen künstlerischen Beitrag zur aktuellen Diskussion um die stark polarisierenden Elektroroller im Stadtbild hatte die Künstlergruppe Poison Idea eigentlich für Freitagabend geplant. Unter dem Titel „Hacking the City 2.0“ sammelten der Hamburger Baldur Burwitz und der Berliner Christof Zwiener den ganzen Freitag über wild geparkte und falsch abgestellte E-Scooter im Stadtraum ein, um sie zu einer temporären Installation in der Galerie Bridget Stern im Künstlerhaus Faktor an der Sternschanze anzuordnen. Es kam jedoch anders.
Noch vor der geplanten Ausstellungseröffnung, als die Installation mit 100 E-Scootern diverser Anbieter gerade fertig aufgebaut war, kam ein Mitarbeiter der Firma Tier den Rollern auf die Spur und rief die Polizei. Die nahm den Sachverhalt zunächst auf. Die Geräte wurden aus der Galerie entfernt und wieder dem urbanen Stadtraum zugeführt.
Aktion wurde auf Video festgehalten
Für die Künstlergruppe ist die geplante humorvolle und provokante Aktion damit aber keineswegs gescheitert. „Wir wollten Ordnung schaffen und die Farben des urbanen Regenbogens einfangen“, erklärt Christof Zwiener. „Natürlich stellen wir auch die Sinnhaftigkeit von E-Scootern zur Diskussion und fragen danach, wem eigentlich die Stadt gehört?“ Auch dem Galeristen geht es nicht um eine Verteufelung oder darum, einen Aufreger zu produzieren. „Da ist ganz viel nicht geregelt. Die E-Scooter sind ja eigentlich herrenlos und fliegen anarchisch in der Stadt herum“, so Galeriebetreiber und Kurator Mark Matthes.
In dem Ausstellungsraum, in dem am Eröffnungsabend ein – gemietetes – Fahrzeug verblieb, kann am Wochenende die Dokumentation der Aktion auf Video verfolgt werden.
